Africa Safari Karatu

Africa Safari Karatu is a family-owned lodge set on a working coffee estate in the cool Karatu highlands, just 15 minutes from the Ngorongoro Conservation Area gate. The property features 35 spacious rooms spread across single-storey stone cottages, each with private verandah, en-suite bathroom with hot rain shower, and views over manicured gardens toward the Oldeani volcano.

The lodge's farmhouse restaurant serves home-grown organic produce — fresh salads from the kitchen garden, roasted Karatu coffee, and Tanzanian specialties like banana stew and grilled tilapia.
