How we plan
About African Queen Adventures
A Tanzanian safari company
African Queen Adventures plans private safaris, Kilimanjaro climbs and beach holidays across Tanzania, from the Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater to the southern parks and Zanzibar.
Founded by Alice Jacob and Joseph Lyimo
African Queen Adventures was founded by Alice Jacob and Joseph Lyimo. They set up the company to offer travellers the kind of safari they would plan for their own friends: private, unhurried and built around what each guest wants to see.
Every trip is planned by our team in Tanzania. We choose the route around the season, so that you are in the right part of the Serengeti for the migration or on Kilimanjaro in the drier months, and we choose camps for their location before their décor.
The same team that plans your trip is there while you travel, and is reachable from your arrival to your flight home.

Why travel with an Arusha safari company
African Queen Adventures is a locally owned Arusha safari company, founded by Alice Jacob and Joseph Lyimo. Arusha is the starting point for the Serengeti, the Ngorongoro Crater and Kilimanjaro, so our guides and planners spend their lives in the places you want to see.
Because we are based here, we know which camps are quiet in which month, and we can change a plan quickly when the herds move. As a result, you deal with the same small team from the first message to the last game drive. Meet our experts, read our practical information, or browse our safari tours. All our guides hold licences from Tanzania National Parks.
