From the Serengeti plains to Zanzibar's shores, we will help you build the right trip.
Tanzania safari destinations fall into three groups. The northern circuit, with the Serengeti, Ngorongoro and Tarangire, has the most wildlife and the easiest access from Arusha. The southern parks, Ruaha and Nyerere, are remote and very quiet. In the far west, Gombe and Mahale are home to wild chimpanzees.
Then there are the places between the parks: Lake Natron with its flamingos, Lake Eyasi and the Hadzabe, and the Usambara hills. Finally, Zanzibar is the classic place to rest after a safari. Each page above explains when to go and what you will see, and the safari tours show how we combine them. The Ngorongoro Conservation Area Authority manages the crater and its rules.
